Competency Profiler™
In an effort to ensure that our clients position the
right people in the right jobs in order to be effective,
The Chapman Group has developed a tool called the
Competency Profiler™. This tool was designed to enable
you to evaluate you team leaders / potential team
leaders based on a set of 27 criteria. Some of the
criteria include:
• Action oriented
• Customer focused
• Motivating others
• Perseverance
• Problem Solving
• Strategic agility
• Building effective teams
• Written communications
The set of criteria the individual is evaluated on may
vary based upon the position being filled and the
requirements / responsibilities associated with that
position. Implementing the tool is a five step process:
1. Attain agreement on specific evaluation
criteria
2. Enter team leaders / potential team leaders
into the tool.
3. Evaluate a small sample to validate criteria
and output
4. Appropriate management evaluate of each team
leader on an
individual basis.
5. Based upon the results, select the
individual's) that best meet the
requirements for that role
In the end, the higher the individual score, the more
qualified this individual would be to fill the role or
position being evaluated.
